A COUPLE, who met after the bride went on a skiing holiday with the bridegroom’s sister, Donald John Howarth and Victoria Jemima Turner, were married at St Peter’s Church, Seaview.

Her head-dress had a cathedral-length ivory veil with satin trim with a tiara lent by the best man’s wife. She carried a tear-drop bouquet of ivory roses, purple freesia, thistles, rosemary and lavender.
She wore earrings and a necklace that were originally given to the bride’s great-grandmother by her great-grandfather on their wedding day almost 100 years ago.
She was attended by Anna Howarth (bridegroom’s sister) and Helen Sholl, who both wore navy, knee-length dresses with cap sleeves and ivory cashmere wraps. They carried hand-tied bouquets made up of the same flowers as the bride’s bouquet.
Adam Flowerday was best man and James Sholl, Jim Kirby, Jeff Townsend and Becky Fife acted as ushers.
The Rev Jane Wheatley officiated.
