I have to admit that I was rather shocked to discover young people using their foodstuffs in restaurants to lure each other into courtship ( 'Finding love is as easy as tossing a salad' Times, February 14).
I'm 70 years old next month and I haven't had the pleasure of female company for a while but I really can't see how salad is involved in finding one's self a partner.
Sure, a crowded bistro is a good place to make eyes at a desirable other but honestly, what is the relevance of lettuce and tomatoes?
Maybe I'm just out of touch! I hope readers had a lovely Valentine's Day.
