A COUPLE who met at a Ryde Rugby Club match, Rob Knight and Kathryn Long, were married at St James’s Church, Yarmouth.
The bridegroom, who is self employed, is the son of Ian and Millie Knight, of Standen Avenue, Newport. The bride, a visual merchandiser, is the daughter of Toby and Julie Long, of Westhill Cottages, Ningwood.
The bride wore a strapless ivory fit-and-flare tulle dress with corded lace and a diamante-embellished belt. Her fingertip-length veil featured crystal drop detail and was secured with a crystal hair comb.
She carried a bouquet of pink and purple roses, cream ranuculus and purple anemones.
She was attended by Sarah True (bride’s sister) and Lauren Sharp, who wore orchid purple full-length lace-up chiffon dresses with diamante embellishment and carried posies to match the bride’s bouquet.
Also in attendance were flowergirls Keziah Flux-Edmonds and Tabitha Eves, wore ivory tulle dresses.
Oscar Knight (bridegroom’s brother) was pageboy and wore a charcoal grey suit and waistcoat with a purple tie.
Dave True (bride’s brother-in-law) was best man and Danny Vyse and Ben Cox acted as ushers.
The Rev Mark Whatson officiated.
A reception was held at Ryde Castle Hotel and the honeymoon in Bangkok and Krabi, Thailand.
