Morgan-Blandford wedding
A COUPLE who got together after spending their school years as friends, Ben Morgan and Lisa Blandford, were married at St Agnes’s Church, Freshwater.

The bridegroom, a plant operator, of the son of Mr and Mrs Roger Morgan, Highdown Lane, Totland

The bride, an account handler, is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Geoffrey Blandford, of The Avenue, Totland.

The bride wore an ivory strapless, lace, fishtail dress with a crystal, diamante and pearl tiara.

She carried a hand-tied bouquet of vintage amnesia roses, green and pink hydrangeas, sweet avalanche roses, pale pink orchids, green lisianthus and eucalyptus.

She was attended by Claire Sixsmith, Amy Higginson and Shazia Chandhry, who all wore knee-length strapless chiffon dresses in soft platinum.

Flowergirl, Darcey Morgan (bridegroom’s niece), two, wore a full-length ivory dress with sash and bow detail on back and waist and pageboy, Henry Morgan (bridegroom’s nephew), five, wore a grey suit to match the bridegroom’s.

Adam Morgan (bridegroom’s brother) was best man and Dave Morgan and Daniel Morgan (bridegroom’s brothers) acted as ushers.

The Rev Mark Whatson officiated.

A reception was held at Osborne House, before the couple enjoyed a honeymoon to Mauritius.
