THE wedding of Dr Michael Partridge and Dr Katya Certic, who met as students at Edinburgh University, took place at St Giles’s Cathedral, Edinburgh.
The marriage service combined elements of the Church of Scotland and the Serbian Orthodox Church ceremonies, as a reflection of the bride’s heritage.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr and Mrs John Partridge, of New Barn Road, East Cowes.
The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Miodrag Certic, of Eze-sur-Mer, France.
The bride’s sister, Mara Certic, was the maid of honour and the bridesmaids were Anna-Kristina Fox, Sarah Shea and Dr Amy Baggott. The best man was Dr Alan Wilson and the ushers were James Partridge and William Partridge (bridegroom’s brothers).
A reception with ceilidh was held at the Signet Library, Edinburgh.
The couple spent their honeymoon in California, the bride’s childhood home, and will live in Edinburgh.
