A COUPLE who met through their love of hockey, Matthew Plimmer and Victoria Roper, were married at Bristol Register Office.
The bridegroom, a financial modeller, is the son of David and Karen Plimmer, of Wolverhampton.
The bride, an orthopaedic referral registered veterinary nurse and associate lecturer, is the daughter of Alan Roper, of Orchard Way, Shorwell, and Sue Skyrme, of Youngwoods Way, Alverstone Garden Village.
The bride wore a V-necked white lace dress with a small train and peacock-coloured belt. She carried a bouquet of wild purple, green and white flowers, and wore a natural flower head-dress.
She was attended by her friends Rachel Rees and Rosie Cook, who wore short dresses with straps and carried mini versions of the bride’s bouquets.
Richard Abraham, Paul Rogers, and Rick Johnson, friends of the bridegroom, were the best men.
The couple signed the register in Bristol in April and held a full ceremony in the garden of The Pointer Inn, Newchurch, in May.
Annabel Bryant led the service, which involved the exchanging of rings and vows in front of 60 family members and friends.
A decorated tractor trailer took guests to the Garlic Farm for a reception.
The couple enjoyed a 'mini-moon’ on the IW, with a foreign holiday to come.
