THE Island Concert Band performed marches at the wedding of Michael Ian Rand and Marie Abbott at Holy Trinity Church, Bembridge.
The bridegroom, a builder, is the son of Mr and Mrs John Rand, of The Mall, Brading.
The bride, a senior bank clerk, is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Nigel Abbott, of Mitten Road, Bembridge.
The bride wore an ivory designer gown with red and burgundy beaded detail to the bodice and train, with an ivory veil with crystal detail and a silver tiara embellished with crystals and pearls. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of burgundy roses with diamantes.
She was attended by Karen Hood (bride’s sister), Katie Rand (bridegroom’s niece) and Jade Rand (bridegroom’s niece), who all wore strapless, floor-length burgundy dresses, embellished with crystals and beads and held hand-tied bouquets of ivory gerberas, together with Samantha Canosa, who wore an ivory dress with burgundy sash and carried a basket of burgundy roses and ivory gerberas.
James Canosa (couple’s godson) was the page boy. He wore an ivory and burgundy waistcoat and cravat with grey trousers.
Martin Rackett was best man and Tom Canosa and Stephen Rand (bridegroom’s brother) acted as ushers.
The Rev Linda Bushell officiated.
A reception was held at Osborne House, East Cowes, followed by a honeymoon to Dubai, Sri Lanka and The Maldives.
