Richardson-Ward wedding
A COUPLE who met through mutual friends, Raymond Anthony Richardson and Laura-Ann Ward, were married at Newport Minister.

The bridegroom, a timber specialist, is the son of Mr and Mrs Andrew Richardson, of Albany Road, Newport.

The bride, a hairdresser, is the daughter of Mr Barry Ward, of Kings Road, Newport, and Mrs Angela Wetherick, of Sylvan Drive, Newport.

The bride wore a fairytale princess dress embroidered with crystals on the full bodice, bottom of the dress and side, with a corset back, including a tulle bow and a crystal tiara and floor-length veil.

She carried a tear-drop bouquet of hot pink gerberas, white lilies, black feathers and crystals.

She was attended by Terri-Louise Armstrong (bride’s cousin), Abbie Brodie (bride’s niece), Rochelle Wright and Hayley Smith, who wore hot pink knee-length cocktail dresses with a black sash and carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet, containing pink gerberas, black feathers and crystals.

Another attendant, Mia Richardson (bridegroom’s cousin), wore a glittery hot pink princess-style dress with a crystal bow.

Harrison Armstrong and Harvey Potts were pageboys and wore black suits with pink waistcoats and ties.

James Morley and Joe Morley were best men and Grant Richardson (bridegroom’s brother), Rob Wetherick (bride’s brother) and Ashley Wetherick (bride’s nephew) acted as ushers.

The Rev Janet Hallam officiated.

The reception was held at Thorness Bay Holiday Park and the couple will be honeymooning next year.
