A COUPLE who returned to the Island to marry, Neal Oliver Riley and Eleanor Louise Taylor, were married at St Olave’s church, Gatcombe.
The bridegroom, a project manager, is the son of Mr Oliver Riley, and the late Mrs Yvonne Riley, of Forest Edge, Ringwood, Hampshire. The bride, a semi-professional soprano and team secretary with adult learning services for the NHS, is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Andrew Taylor, of Niton Road, Rookley.
The bride wore a full-length beaded and ivory lace dress, matching bolero jacket and full-length veil.
She carried a bouquet of sweet peas and roses.
She was attended by chief bridesmaid Claire Dove-Grist, who wore a full-length, fuchsia pink dress and carried a bouquet of sweet peas and roses, and Olivia Barber (bridegroom’s niece), three, who wore an ivory ballerina dress and carried a basket of sweet peas.
William Powell, six, was the ring bearer, and Joshua Barber (bridegroom’s nephew), five, was a pageboy. They both wore morning suits.
David Tracy was best man and Gary Collins acted as an usher.
The Rev Marcus Bagg officiated.
A reception was held at the New Holmwood Hotel, Cowes, followed by a honeymoon in the Maldives.
