A COUPLE who met in the Fleming Arms pub, Binstead, Ashley James Way and Kelly Scott, were married at the Church of Holy Cross, Binstead.
The bridegroom, a vessel traffic master at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, is the son of Mr and Mrs Mark Way, of Pitts Lane, Binstead.
The bride, who is in the army, is the daughter of Mr Roger Scott, of Avenue Road, Shanklin, and Deborah Bennett, of Ryde.
The bride wore a Greek goddess-style dress, embellished by the bridegroom’s mother with burnt orange flowers and leaves, with a tailored matching orange beaded satin sash.
She carried a bouquet of white pearl flowers and foliage with orange roses and sprays.
The bride was attended by Michelle Manalo, Janice McColl. Emma Gage, Kathryn Smith and Jenny Way (bridegroom’s sister).
They wore burnt orange Greek goddess-style dresses and designer silver circlets with Swarovski crystals.
Megan Keenan, nine, was a flower girl, who wore a fairy costume with wings.
Simon Brown was best man and James Wheeler and John Gage acted as ushers.
The Rev Wendy Smith officiated.
An enchanted woodland-themed reception at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club, Fishbourne, followed the church service.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Lapland, Sweden.
