AN ice hockey player and a figure skater, Nathan Peter Thomas Webb and Georgia Louise Whelan, were married at Holy Cross Church, Binstead.
The bridegroom, an engineer, is the son of Mr Peter Thomas Webb, of Brackley, Northamptonshire, and the late Mrs Christine Patricia Webb.
The bride, an ice skating coach, is the daughter of Mrs Roslyn Whelan, of Melville Street, Ryde, and the late Mr Edward Robert Whelan.
The bride wore a slim-fitting, one-shoulder backless dress and a fresh pink orchid as a head-dress.
She also wore shoes featuring a photograph of her late father, so he could 'walk her down the aisle’.
The bride carried a bouquet of bright pink orchids and bird of paradise flowers.
She was attended by Janna Whelan (bride’s sister), Marie Webb (bridegroom’s sister), Vicki Ranson, Emily Hodges, Lucy Massie and Calli Lovett, who all wore matching turquoise dresses.
Riley Rich, five, was a ring bearer.
The bridegroom’s father was best man and Adam Rich, Chris Brooks, Ben Smith and Sherif Hafiz acted as ushers.
The Rev Veronica Brown officiated.
A reception was held at The Spyglass Inn, Ventnor, before a honeymoon in the Maldives.
