Whillier-Mew wedding
A COUPLE who met on the social network site, Facebook, Robert John Whillier and Elaine Lesley Mew, were married at St Mary’s Church, Carisbrooke.

The bridegroom, a tyre fitter, is the son of Mr and Mrs Trevor Whillier, of Main Road, Newbridge.

The bride is the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Ronald Mew.

The bride wore a viola purple, full-length satin dress, with a diamante Alice band, with diamante clips, and carried a bouquet of ivory roses and artificial pansies.

The bride was attended by Summer Wolsey and Emma Mew (bride’s daughters), who both wore long, ivory dresses with purple sashes and held bouquets of artificial pansies and purple lisianthus.

The best man was Steuart Mitchell.

Cailemb Wolsey (bride’s son) was the usher.

The Rev Marcus Bagg officiated.

A reception was held at the Eight Bells public house, Carisbrooke.

A honeymoon in Ayora, Spain, will follow in the new year.
