A couple who found love while working together in the newsroom of the Isle W County Press, Matthew John White and Lorraine Marie Parker, were married at St Mildred’s Church, Whippingham.
The bridegroom, a broadcast journalist at IW Radio, is the son of Mr Martin White, of Winchester, and Mrs Teresa White, of Green Lane, Sandown.
The bride, features editor of the IW County Press, is the daughter of Mr and Mrs David Parker, of Palmers Road, Wootton.
The bride wore a full-length, one-shouldered ivory dress with lace-up back, full ruched train with rose and crystal detail, and beading on the bodice, with a crystal and pearl headband and elbow-length veil.
She carried a bouquet of silk roses in ivory, coffee and chocolate brown, with diamante and pearl detail, made by a family friend.
She was attended by Samantha Bull, Laura Joyce, Gemma Richardson, Becki Laing and Gina Cameron (bride’s cousin), who wore tea-length, v-neck, sleeveless dresses in a praline colour with cream applique and champagne sashes. They carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Ash Jones was best man and Darren White (bridegroom’s brother), Richard King and Wayne Upton acted as ushers.
The Rev Allie Kerr officiated.
A reception and firework display was held at Osborne House, followed by mini-moon to Cyprus. The couple will go on a Caribbean cruise honeymoon, next year.
