Mr Green was born on the Island and grew up in Cowes as one of five children.

He served in Germany near Dortmund.
He then had various jobs until he took a nine-month course in radio and television servicing at a government training centre in Slough.
From 1960 to 1990, Mr Green worked for companies, including Hitchman’s of Freshwater. He then took a gap year before working part-time at Bookers until he retired.
In his younger years, he travelled extensively.

He was very fond of animals and had dogs and cats.
He leaves a sister, sister-in-law, nephews and nieces and their families and will be greatly missed.
