DESPITE facing allegations of bullying, intimidation, using his position improperly and using the council's press team to hush-up reporting of an outburst outside a charity ball, Isle of Wight Council leader Cllr David Pugh said he does not intend to stand down.

A MAN has this morning (Friday) been jailed for eight years for an historical rape in 1990.
The jury returned a guilty verdict on Keith Davison, 52, of Binstead Hill, Ryde, after a week-long trial at Portsmouth Crown Court in January.
