ISLE of Wight athlete Nick Percy finished 29th in the men’s discus event at the IAAF World Championships.
The 22 year old’s best throw yesterday was 56.93m, which was not enough to qualify for today’s (Saturday’s) final.
Percy had hoped to use the experience of this year’s championships to help him be competitive at future events.
Tonight (Saturday), fellow Isle of Wight athlete, runner Jess Martin, will compete in the women’s 10,000m final.
