Isle of Wight Warriors 60, Stoke Potters 30
JUST a week after notching up their biggest win of the season, the Warriors speedway team went one better — having too much in the tank for the Potters' wheels.
Despite still missing star riders Ben Morley, Alfie Bowtell and Chris Widman, the Wightlink-sponsored Warriors called on guest riders Danny Ayres (Mildenhall) and Tom Brennan (Eastbourne), who both came up trumps by riding unbeaten all evening at Ryde's Smallbrook Stadium on Thursday.

The visitors arrived with three very inexperienced riders in the lower order, but 13 last places exposed their vulnerability on the fast Island circuit.
With their top order also finding wins hard to come by, it turned out to be a very frustrating and uncomfortable evening for the Midlanders.
On a night when all the Island team's members contributed to the victory, heat 12 stood out as the race of the night, with Scott Campos putting in a real captain’s ride against the Potters' Rob Shuttleworth.

Headed by the Stoke man out of turn two, Campos looked as though he had met his match.
But as the riders sped away over the first lap, Campos took his favourite outside line to close in and swoop past his opponent in breathtaking fashion.
The Warriors' fifth home league win of the season moves them up to sixth in the table.
Warriors: Danny Ayres 14+1, Scott Campos 12+1, Danno Verge 9+2, Tom Brennan 12, Jamie Bursill 5+1 and Shaun Tedham 8+1.
