One week from Thursday, July 22, 2016
ROOKLEY road re-surfacing work is due to be carried out at night to minimise disruption.
Island Roads said work on a large section of Main Road, between Merstone Lane and Highwood Lane, is expected to take ten nights and is scheduled to begin on Thursday, July 28.
The PFI company said the work would be undertaken Monday to Friday between 7.30pm and 6am.
Island Roads said: "To reduce inconvenience to residents the work will be undertaken in four phases: Highwood Lane to Niton Road, Niton Road to Hillcrest Road, Hillcrest Road to Rookley Country Park and Rookley Country Park to 200 metres from Merstone Lane."
During work the road will be closed and a diversion put in place. Pedestrian access will remain at all times.
