Alum Bay: New Road Needles fireworks displays. Thursday evening. When parking is full at The Needles Park, a road closure will be in operation in Alum Bay New Road.

Blackwater: Blackwater Road/Blackwater Shute/Sandown Road (from Shide Road to East Lane, Merstone). Traffic lights between 7pm and 6am on Tuesday night for fibre cable work.

Chale: Military Road, approx 350 metres on the Brighstone side of Chale Church, some traffic delays next Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, during Chale Show. Traffic lights will be in use at times.

Cowes: Main carnival procession to form up in Ward Avenue between Park Road and Crossfield Avenue at 5.30pm and leave at 7pm on Wednesday. The procession will pass along Park Road, Victoria Road, Mill Hill Road, Birmingham Road, Shooters Hill, High Street, Bath Road, and The Parade, where it is due arrive at about 8.15pm.

Cowes and Gurnard area: Cowes Week. Traffic and parking restrictions in certain roads between tomorrow (Saturday) and Tuesday, August 12. 

East Cowes: Sylvan Avenue (junction with Hefford Road to outside number 16). Traffic lights until next Friday, August 1, for emergency gas main replacement.

Godshill / Rookley: Main Road. Traffic lights tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday.

Merstone: Merstone Lane will be closed today (Friday), Monday and Thursday between Main Road (Rookley) and Bury Lane for repairs and resurfacing.

Newport: Fairlee Road. Traffic lights today (Friday), tomorrow and Sunday for the Postfest music festival. Traffic lights will enable pedestrians to cross from the event car park, off Mill Lane.

Newport: St George’s Way (from Shide Road to St George’s Roundabout). Traffic lights from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day, Monday to Thursday, for replacement of streetlights.

Newport: Medina Way (northern carriageway). Temporary 40 mph speed restriction until at least Friday, August 8, or until barriers have been replaced.

Ryde: Great Preston Road junction with Smallbrook Lane. Traffic lights on Tuesday for the replacement of streetlights.

Ryde: Swanmore Road will be closed on Wednesday between High Street and Ashey Road for and repairs.

Sandown: children’s carnival procession. Various roads will be closed for the carnival procession today (Friday). Culver Parade, High Street, Pier Street and Esplanade (to outside Sandown Pier) will each be closed for a short period.

Sandown: main carnival. Culver Parade will be closed from Avenue Road to Fort Street between 4pm and 9pm and Esplanade/Avenue Slipway will be closed from Esplanade Road to Avenue Road Street to Avenue between 4.30pm and 9pm tomorrow (Saturday) to allow the main carnival to form up. It will leave Culver Parade and Avenue Slipway at 7pm and will pass along High Street, Beachfield Road, Royal Crescent, Melville Street, Fitzroy Street, Station Avenue, Albert Road and Victoria Road finishing at approx 9pm.

Shanklin: Godshill Road (Apse Manor Farm Cottages). Traffic lights today (Friday).

Shanklin: Victoria Avenue (near Albert Road). Traffic lights from Monday to Thursday for new gas connection.
