THE Fire and Rescue Service have been called to a hazardous materials incident in Ryde this afternoon (Thursday).
Three fire engines — one from Newport, two from Ryde — attended the scene at St Thomas' Street following a call at 12.13pm.
One patient is currently in the care of the Ambulance Service and the Fire crew remain at the scene.
UPDATE — The call turned out to be a false alarm with no risk of hazardous materials.
