The main road between Rookley and Godshill was closed after a car crash this afternoon (Tuesday).

Emergency services were called out just before 4pm after a crash involving two vehicles on Newport Road, Godshill, a police spokeswoman said.

The road was closed at the junction with Merstone Lane.
