THE County Press asked Islanders their predictions for tonight's semi-final against Croatia and if football is coming home.

Isle of Wight residents have shown massive support for the England team during the World Cup so far, with St George's flags appearing on scaffolding, zebra crossings, white cars, large gates and fire engines.

Summerfield Primary School championed Gareth Southgate with a waistcoat Wednesday, and businesses are helping their staff enjoy the England fever with time off.

Aldi announced it will close its doors at 3pm if England make it into the final against France on Sunday, while Wight Aerials and Satellite is giving all their employees a fully paid day off on Monday and Pets at Home is closed tonight (Wednesday) from 6.30pm, and on Sunday for the game if England make it.
