UPDATED 3.35pm:
A fire which spread across four acres of field in Apse Heath has now been extinguished.
The fire was accidentally caused by a haybaler.
FROM EARLIER:
FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a fire which has broken out in fields at Apse Heath this afternoon (Wednesday).
Emergency crews from Newport and Ryde have been called to tackle the fire.
