SHORWELL shop and Post Office is to close after the sudden death of proprietor Marian Challoner.
The business, on the Main Road, has been run by Mrs Challoner, and her husband Cal, for the last 32 years.
The couple's son, David, said: "It is with great sadness that we have had to come to the decision to close the business permanently.
"We don't own the building, only the business. We are not looking to sell it, but if someone would like to take it over, then that would be different."
