FIREFIGHTERS had to force entry to a property in Lake this morning (Friday) after a pan was left on a stove.
Fire crews from Shanklin and Ryde attended Chelsfield Avenue at around 11.20am, after neighbours reported a burning smell.
No-one was in the property, so crews had to force entry, according to an Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue spokesperson.
Once inside, they discovered a pan had been left on a stove.
Crews ventilated the property.
