If you are out and about this weekend and looking for something to do, here are five fun things.

Enjoy family-themed entertainment and fabulous food over two days celebrating Island-grown sweetcorn. Tuck into tasty corn on the cob or sweetcorn fritters, meet Nora Niblett, who is celebrating her first birthday, visit Pet's Corner, watch bands on stage or live floral demonstrations and enjoy a drink at the Dairyman's Daughter beer festival.

Lucy's illustrated talk takes you into the life, the palaces and the rich colourful age of Queen Victoria, who ruled a quarter of the globe and lived at Osborne House.

The Sky Traveller exhibition of photographs at Dimbola Lodge and Museums, Freshwater Bay, from Saturday to December.

A free exhibition of the wonderful aerial shots by madcap daredevil photographer Capt Alfred G. Buckham, who between 1908 and the early 1930s risked life and limb to create awe-inspiring pictures from a flimsy aircraft. His 1923 photograph of London was voted by the Sunday Times as one of the world's greatest photographs.

Landscape paintings of the Isle of Wight, East Dene, Bonchurch, from Sunday to October 7, 9.30am to 5pm.

This annual art exhibition is now in its 34th year, arranged each year by Robin McInnes, of St Lawrence. this year's show will include more than 140 works for sale as well as Victorian and Edwardian art, prints and books.
