AN EMERGENCY road closure is being put in place at St Lawrence Shute after a crash.
Historic Railway Estate on behalf of the Department for Transport are due to carry out emergency works to the disused railway bridge following a crash.
Island Roads will close the road from the junction with Whitwell Road to the junction with Seven Sisters Road.
A diversion will affect Whitwell Road, Ventnor footpath 72, Ventnor footpath 71, Gills Cliff Road, Castle Road, Castle Close, Steephill Court Road, Undercliff Drive and Ventnor footpath 91.
The road will be closed from 9.30am tomorrow (Tuesday).
