From Brian Greening, Newport:

We HAVE recently discovered the grave of the headmaster of our old school, the famous Skipper Ouseley, the man who is credited with forming the traditions and respect that all ex-pupils recall.

As can be seen from the photograph it needs a little TLC and even if we use the small amount we have in our account, we shall still be looking for around £500 to restore it. This would include repairing the stonework, cleaning the surrounds and laying new turf.

If any ex-pupils have any ideas as to how we might raise all or part of this sum please contact me on 01983 528438.  All the graves are part of our heritage and each has a story to tell.  It would be a fitting tribute to our old school if this work could be carried out.
