SPOOKY delights are on offer at Blackgang Chine for the next two weeks as the first ever Halloween Wicked Nights get underway.

The horror based evening includes an array of gory goods, from a ghost train to a ‘slaughter slide’ water slide to a live action maze with the haunted monks who ‘curse the ground whereon I stand’.

Toyah Langdon, who braved the maze in a preview night last night (Friday), said: “I was just keeping my eyes shut the whole time — it was terrifying.”

Vectis Ventures challenged local sports teams and work colleagues to go through with heart monitors on to battle it out for the ‘toughest team’.

Stuart Woods, from One Leisure, said: “I thought it was really good. I was scared but I am a bit of a scaredy-cat", while his colleague suggested he may come here to relax as his heart rate actually decreased through the terror trail.

There’s plenty to see besides the large attractions though, with a poison emporium, a freaky fair and a hall of horrors to keep you occupied while creepy dolls, magicians and acrobats mingle among the crowd.

Will you brave the maze? Tickets are available from here and the nights run until November 3.
