FIREFIGHTERS were called out in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday) to a fire in a bedroom of a property on Carisbrooke Road, Newport.
A spokesperson for the fire and rescue service said there was a small fire in a bedroom on the first floor, but the fire was already out when fire crews arrived.
A crew from Newport and a crew from Cowes were called to the scene at 12.19am.
Firefighters carried out an inspection at the property before leaving the scene.
