WIGHTLINK has cancelled a number of this morning's sailings (Thursday) on the Yarmouth to Lymington route because of a mechanical issue.

The ferry company said its 6.40am, 8.45am and 11am from Lymington and the 7.50am, 10.05am and 12.05pm from Yarmouth on Thursday, October 25, were all cancelled.

A Wightlink spokesperson said this was due to a mechanical issue with an essential piece of equipment on one of its ships.

Wightlink have cancelled further sailings this afternoon.

Staff are still working on repairing the mechanical issue and the 1pm from Lymington and the 2.05pm from Yarmouth have been cancelled.

More sailings have been cancelled on the Wightlink Yarmouth to Lymington route.

Due to the ongoing repairs to a mechanical issue with an engine on one of the ships, Wightlink have canceled the 3pm sailing from Lymington and the 4.05pm sailing from Yarmouth.

Wightlink has announced the repairs have been completed. Sailings are now running to the scheduled timetable.
