A WOMAN is due to appear before Isle of Wight magistrates later this month following a single vehicle collision on Sandown Road, Lake on Saturday night.
Police were called to the incident which took place at 11.19pm where it was reported that a red Skoda had collided with some bollards.
The occupants of the vehicle, a 21-year-old man and 22-year-old woman, were arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle when the alcohol level is above the legal limit and for having no insurance.
Madeleine Kae Evans, 22, of Victoria Road, Shanklin has been charged with use of a motor vehicle on a road or in a public place without third party insurance. She will appear before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on Nov 23.
The 21-year-old man remains in police custody at this time.
