ARE you brave enough to take the Penguin Plunge?

For the third year running, Age UK Isle of Wight will host a charity dip in the sea at Puckpool Sands.

Wearing penguin masks, hardy souls will take the plunge for the charity's No-one Should Have No-one at Christmas campaign.

Cheered on by supporters, they will meet at the Dell Cafe at 12.30pm on Sunday, December 9.

Age UK Isle of Wight fundraising manager Elisha Leachman said: "We are super excited for the return of the plunge. Each year our amazing crowd of supporters turn out to cheer on our brave penguins.

"All the profits stay on the Island to support the most vulnerable older people in our communities. We, as a local, independent charity, are incredibly grateful to everyone that shows us support at Christmas and are looking forward to seeing everyone there."

Age UK Isle of Wight will also host a Christmas Film Festival at Cineworld, over three Sundays in December.

Grab some popcorn and enjoy festive classics The Polar Express, on December 2, A Muppet Christmas Carol, on December 9, and Elf, on December 16.

All the screenings start at 4.30pm.

Tickets come with a candy cane and Santa hat — or an elf hat for the Elf screening — and are available by calling the number above or online at bit.ly/Filmfestival18
