THERE were spooky goings-on at The Moorings care home in Cowes.

Gurnard Pre-school children regularly meet with residents from the home in Egypt Hill to do activities together and this time, they were invited to a Halloween party.

The children were treated to hot chocolate with cream and sprinkles, cookies and marshmallows.

Together the residents and children had a game of Halloween bingo and pin the mouth on the pumpkin.

Val Munt, manager at Gurnard Pre-school, said: "It is wonderful to see the children and the residents helping each other with these activities.

"It is always such an exciting time for both when we get together.

"We are looking forward to some of the residents visiting us next time to watch our Nativity play.

"We plan each visit making sure we have a different theme each time for the children and residents to enjoy."

The event was also organised by The Moorings manager, Emma Gerring, and activity coordinator, Sarah McCreadie.
