From Ms P. Leigh, Sandown:

I had an appointment in Ryde last Friday, October 26, and travelled by bus.

Alighting a number 3 bus from Sandown Library, as we travelled towards Brading, we came across an accident. Our driver was calm, had to reverse the double decker along a main road and proceed on a different route.

The return journey was even more eventful.

I got on the bus at Ryde Library, a passenger from upstairs shouted to the driver that someone was on the floor. Again, our driver checked, called for an ambulance and reassured the remaining passengers.

Our driver was cool, calm and collected throughout. Well done Southern Vectis for its marvellous training.
