A DISTURBANCE in West Wight has left a Southern Vectis bus waiting for police this afternoon (Friday).
Southern Vectis has reported that two of its Route 7 (Newport-Freshwater) buses were delayed in Totland and Alum Bay awaiting police attendance following a public order issue, and the 12.25pm route from Alum Bay is currently still stranded.
The company has said they will update customers as soon as possible.
UPDATE 2.10pm:
A spokesperson from Southern Vectis said their Route 7 had been delayed when a customer was aggressive towards another customer.
The spokesperson said: "We don’t tolerate this kind of behaviour, and our driver asked the unruly passenger to leave the vehicle. They refused, so we contacted the police."
Simon Moye, Southern Vectis operations manager, said: "To speed up the service, all other customers have been transferred to a replacement bus."
