WHILE most professional cricketers in England will be putting their feet up this winter after a tough summer, big-hitting Island talent Adam Hose will be targeting bowlers in one the world’s biggest T20 tournaments — the 2018-19 Burger King Super Smash in New Zealand.
The Island-born Birmingham Bears star booked his place in the tournament by signing for one of New Zealand’s top sides, the Wellington Firebirds.
Adam, 26, who joined the Bears last year and who has scored 670 runs across his first two Vitality Blast T20 campaigns, is the latest player in the side to join the Firebirds — following in the footsteps of England all-rounder Chris Woakes, who played for them in the 2012-13 season.
Adam will fly out to Wellington on Sunday, December 16, ahead of the Firebirds’ first Super Smash game away to Northern Knights, in Hamilton, six days' later.
