'IT'S all fallen apart' — the multimillion pound East Cowes regeneration project has been plunged into crisis after its Hong Kong backer pulled out of the scheme. One marine business owner said it was 'delusional' to think the idea would ever work and branded the project 'an utter balls up'.

Popular Quay Arts manager, Paul Armfield, is stepping down from his role after more than two-and-a-half years at the helm of the cultural venue. He said: "It's not a job you can do by halves. It is all encompassing."

Finally, a care home where staff were often too busy to spend time with residents has been found to require improvement by inspectors. Three staff members rated the supervision they received poor.
