FIREFIGHTERS were called to Ryde this afternoon (Saturday) to tackle a fire in a garden shed.
Crews from Ryde Fire Station were called to the incident on Hayward Avenue at around 2.30pm and acted quickly to extinguish the fire.
A crew was called out from Newport to assist.
A spokesperson for Newport Fire Station said: "Quick work by the Ryde crews have prevented the fire spreading."
The incident has been brought under control.
