GODSHILL Christmas Market takes place on Saturday (December 8) with a whole host of Yuletide fun to enjoy.

The market takes place between 11am and 4pm. Among the attractions are Vintage Island Amusements who are attending with their children's 'chairplane', hook a duck stall and shooting alley.

There are a further 40 plus local craft stalls selling handmade Christmas gifts and decorations.

There will be glasses of mulled wine, mince pies, handmade fudge and chocolate also available to buy.

There is even a stonebaked pizza stall and a burger van too. Santa will also be in his grotto all day and each child will receive a gift and plenty of photo opportunities.

In addition, there is a packed entertainment schedule, with most performances in the Methodist Church, including a Christmas sing-a-long from 4pm, once the market has finished. Homemade cakes and refreshments are available from the Methodist Church Hall and the raffle is there as well.

All funds raised from the day will be split between three charities: KissyPuppy, the Godshill Village Hall charity and The Isle of Wight Radio Christmas Toy Appeal.
