PRIME Minister Theresa May told MPs and the public there were three options for Brexit last month — her deal, no deal or remain.

A new poll from YouGov shows when these options are put before the public, Theresa May's deal has little backing.

When people were asked to rank the three options in order of preference, 600 constituencies listed remain as the top option — including the Isle of Wight.

A group of 30 constituencies backed no deal, while only two chose the deal the Prime Minister has put before parliament.

Using a different analysis method, when the options were put 'head-to-head', Mrs May's deal beats remain and but no constituencies went for no deal.

Islanders were in the majority with supporting a the deal when head to head with no deal and remain.

In June 2016, 62 per cent of Islanders who voted chose to leave the EU and 38 per cent voted to remain.
