A YARMOUTH restaurant helped to raise more than £800 for the town's RNLI at a fundraising dinner with a '70s evening and disco.

Owners, Costa Balan and Cosmin Irizea, of La Cucina, in the High Street, entertained around 70 people with a retro three-course meal including old favourites prawn cocktail and boeuf bourgingnon.

Chief Yarmouth RNLI fundraiser, Debbie Cotton, said: "We had a great meal, some great music from the decade as well as a raffle.

"The evening concluded with a fun music quiz which was based on all the James Bond films.

"It was a very successful and hugely enjoyable evening which raised £812 for Yarmouth RNLI.

"Earlier in the year, we also had a fabulous Italian night there, so they have helped to contribute just over £2,000 to the RNLI over the last few months.

"Many thanks to Costa, Cozi, chef Nick and their amazing staff who all gave their time for free to support our charity."
