IT was the season to spread some festive cheer on Sunday (December 9) when more than 60 fundraisers joined the jolly jingle bell walk through Cowes.

The popular family fun event, hosted by the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, was a fun way to get into the Christmas spirit with all money raised helping to transform the lives of young people in recovery from cancer.

The 3km walk kicked off at 1:30pm from the Musto store on Cowes High Street, with every jingle bell walker being kitted out in a blue Christmas hat and bells.

Seasonal songs, mulled wine and mince pies welcomed all the jingle bell walkers back at Musto, while there was also a mince pie competition.

More than £350 was raised for the trust at the event.
