This postman was spotted going all out for Christmas Jumper day.

Jeanette Prince spotted him at the Green in Shorwell.

She said: "I don't know who he is — he might be a Christmas temp."

The festive postman has been identified as James Spiers.

James, 38 from Newport, has been working as a postman for more than a decade.

He said: "I decided to dress up because we have a Christmas jumper day every year where we give a donation to a different charity, so it’s always for a good cause.

"I usually just wear a jumper but just thought it would bring some comedy value wearing something different and I thought it would give my customers on my delivery something to smile about."

James said this year the team were raising money for Beaulieu House.
