A CHALLENGING end of year competition was laid down for members of the Isle of Wight Photographic Society.

Members were challenged to produced triptychs, in other words, use three photographs to create a single image.

Eleven members rose to the challenge and produced 33 triptychs which were scored by local judge, Brian Cope.

Society chairman, Chris Orchin, said: "The overall quality of images was very good and there was a great variety of compositions.

"This was reflected in the scores they received with 12 achieving scores of 18 or more.

"Among those, a newcomer to the society, Ann Dziedzicki, achieved a 19 with her Summer composition."
