KFC in Lake will open in two weeks time Lake Parish Council have confirmed.

Chair of the council, Councillor Susan Horton told the County Press the new fast food chain in Merrie Farm Park will open after an official ceremony on January 23 at 12pm.

Other members of the parish council will also be in attendance.

The new venture from franchisee Amsric Foods Ltd will provide around 50 full and part time jobs at its 250 sq metre location.

KFC have one other store at Furrlongs in Newport.
