From Reg Barry, Nettlestone:

It is not surprising those with a vested interest are reluctant to see the Brexit question being put to an electorate which is now rather more aware of the issues and complexities.

Added to that, some 1.5 million senior citizens have “left the electoral role” since June 2016, a figure greater than the winning pro-Brexit margin at the time.

More important though, more than two million young people have reached the age of 18-plus since then.

These young people have already had a poor deal from their elders on further education, housing and pensions, to name but three, and are now facing decades of economic disadvantage as well.

It’s their future, let’s give them a say in it.
