THESE stunning photos show two popular areas of the Isle of Wight, from a very different dimension.

The bird's eye view shots were taken by Darren Greenman, while working a new video project with his new drone.

He has captured Sandown Pier and Newtown Creek, both from 400ft above — giving a mere glimpse of what is to come in his video.

Darren said: "I have a passion for photography and videography, and after buying my new drone, I decided to work on a new video project.

"The aim is to show both well known and unique areas of the Isle of Wight from a different perspective, a bird's eye view.

"I feel the Isle of Wight has so many scenic areas to be explored from above, and it would make an interesting video for Island residents and visitors to see it in this way.

"I hope to finish the video by September/October — that way I can include shots of a variety of places at different seasons.

"I believe Islanders would be surprised at how different these well-known locations look from above."
