Island Roads' gritter in action.
ISLAND ROADS will be gritting our roads tonight as temperatures are likely to plunge.
The gritters will be out from 7pm tonight (Sunday) and Island Roads ask that road users please driver carefully.
A spokesman for Island Roads said on Twitter: "Winter maintenance decision is precautionary treatment of P1,P2 routes and bridge decks at Stag lane and Foxes Road Newport commencing at 1900hrs @ 10grsqm."
