A new Isle of Wight Pride logo has been designed to reflect a greater diversity within the community whilst representing its unique connections to the Island.

Aiming to establish and develop the charity’s identity, the new logo will be used on all future communications and merchandise.

Created by local designer Shuan Cuff, the logo is based on a traditional stick of seaside rock, with the coloured stripes representing the different gender identities and sexual orientations many people now relate to.

Sarah Portwine, chair of trustees for IW Pride, said: “We are delighted to launch a new logo that represents the diversity of the Island's LGBTQIA+ community.

“Our plans for 2024 mean it will be an exciting year for IW Pride.

“We will be returning to Harbour Beach in Ryde for Pride weekend in July, with some fantastic headliners, including the winner of RuPaul's Drag Race UK season five, Ginger Johnson.”

"The LGBTQIA+ community continues to make positive advances on the Island, and we will continue to develop our organisation to support and further these advances.

“Our new identity can be viewed on our updated website, along with updates for 2024 and ways to be involved with IW Pride.”
