A TERM of imprisonment looms for an Isle of Wight man found guilty at trial of a string of child sex offences.

Adrian Colvin, of Pennycress Drive, Newport, appeared before a judge and jury at the Isle of Wight Crown Court today (Thursday).

The 27-year-old denied three counts of sexual activity with a child under 13, and two further charges of assaulting a girl under 13 by penetration, on the Isle of Wight, between June 13, 2018, and December 1, 2021, and his case went to trial.

Today (Thursday) that trial concluded, with members of the jury returning a unanimous verdict of guilty on all five counts.

The court heard a term of imprisonment is inevitable and a pre-sentence report was ordered.

Colvin’s case was adjourned for sentencing on May 31 at the same venue.

He was remanded in custody until that date.
